Small Business Offer





Last week we chose a new location for our weekly meeting – it was Grafham Water Park. This won’t mean a thing to most folk, but Grafham is a 1500 acre reservoir with sailing club, cycle tracks etc near Huntingdon in the UK.

Unless the weather is foul, we have all our weekly meetings outside. We walk, talk, share, argue, eat too many biscuits, drink too much coffee and generally put everything to rights in a few hours. And the wind blows the cobwebs out of our heads!

Outdoor meetings is not my idea – I grabbed it from the great Tom Peters years ago and have kept with it ever since. It stops those boring office bound discussions that seem to lack the creativity and “off the wall” thinking that we get outdoors – and it’s fun.

From this particular meeting came two great ideas and I’ll share one with you now.

The Business Roadshows were set up to showcase what we do for a living. It shows how strategists think and what they recommend to survive in these tough times. And on the back of each Roadshow we get new clients, who like what they hear and want us to work with them to drive their business forward.

However, …. Kudos to Jan here….by analysing our feedback and by making some phone calls, she’s established that there’s a market for short, one-off meetings where we roll up and sleeves and work with you for a few hours to establish a way forward. In other words, you’ll have us as sounding board, advisor, strategist, coach and “tough love” provider for 3 to 4 hours for a one-off fixed fee. It’s your agenda – we’ll discuss any business issues that you have.

Why are we doing it? It’s an extension of the Roadshow idea where we demonstrate how we can impact your business – help drive it forward and make you some money. We are confident that from these “one-off” sessions will come some long term business – some immediately and some, maybe a year off. For us, it’s an investment – and it’s a loss leader for sure.

The cost? We’re offering these sessions at a miserly, recession busting £295 + VAT.

(That’s a fraction of the price you’d pay for an accountant to tell you you’ve lost money after he’s prepared your end of year figures!)
