Small Business Scum

On 14th June 2002 I set up a Clickbank account to sell my book on advanced sales techniques – “How to Sell in Todays Tough Markets”. The sales website is http://close-that-sale.com

Yesterday I came across, by accident, my own text, staring me in the face on a property website. And guess what they’re selling? Yep, you’ve guessed it – a book on closing sales….they’ve stolen my material, rehashed it slightly and blatently promoted it without even changing the fonts!

It beggars belief….

Here’s their About Us page

And the offending sales copy – just compare it to my copy at http://close-that-sale.com

And finally, how about their laughable Copyright page….

So, what have I done….???

Taking advice from my favourite and sharpest forum http://tinyurl.com/c66j2m (check this out!) – I’ve written to the registrar, host, webmaster, Paypal, Google and other engines. I’m also going to phone the scamsters and warn that as per Copyscape advice, I will proceed with a notice of Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) infringement if they do not comply with my Cease and Desist request.

My conversation will not end with “Have a good day”
